According to SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association), 2014 was another record breaking year with 7,000 Megawatts of installed solar. This is a 34% growth from 2013! Solar was second with 32% of all new electricity generating capacity in the U.S. in 2014.This means that nearly 1 out of 3 new systems introduced in the U.S. in 2014 that generate electricity was solar. There is currently enough solar to power more than 4 million average American homes and over 20,000 Megawatts of cumulative solar electricity capacity that is currently operating in America.
